Fastenal signs on for an additional seven in Nationwide on the 60
Carl Edwards will have the blue and white colors of Fastenal on board for an additional seven events this season in the NASCAR Nationwide Series in 2011. Fastenal announced on Wednesday afternoon that they would be upping their total of races from 15 to 23 races in 2011.

“I am proud to represent Fastenal,” said Edwards. “They have been great partners. They not only sponsor the car but they provide the services and the tools that Roush Fenway Racing needs to get our business done. I am honored to drive the Fastenal Ford, and hopefully we can get them some more victories. It has been a blast standing in victory lane with the folks from Fastenal.”
Last weekend the No. 6, 16 and 60 Ford Mustangs were sponsored by Fastenal during the Top Gear 300 where Matt Kenseth piloted the 16 car to victory lane over Edwards. Roush had already had a 1-2 finish the weekend before in Iowa when Stenhouse Jr., who started from the pole on Saturday won and Edwards was second in the event.
Edwards has piloted the No. 60 Fastenal Ford Mustang to victory lane twice this year and with Kenseth’s win, the Fastenal sponsorship has been seen three times in victory lane during the 2011 Nationwide Series.
“With all the success we’ve had on the track with Carl Edwards and the entire Roush Fenway team, we feel our racing program has taken a big step forward this season,” said Fastenal’s Executive Vice President of Operations Cory Jansen. “We’re excited to keep the momentum going for an additional seven races and hopefully get the Fastenal name into victory lane a few more times in 2011.”
Last year, Edwards had a 15 race schedule with Fastenal but won only once in the blue and white colors in the inaugural event at Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.
